Our Values include:

We have a selfless determination and relentless dedication to the public, our partners, and to each other. We will  strive to continually improve our community and our agency.

We are committed to the highest standards of honesty and ethical conduct, which are the cornerstones of our  profession.

We accept responsibility for our actions. We are accountable to ourselves and those we serve. We will communicate honestly and consistently strive for excellence.

It is the mission of the Lake Royale Company Police Department to serve everyone within our jurisdiction with compassion, fairness and respect. To provide protection of life and property; relentlessness enforcement of local, state and Federal laws; preservation of peace, order and safety; and the defense of the Constitution of the state of North Carolina and the United States Constitution in a fair and impartial manner.

The Lake Royale Company Police Department is a fully sworn, well-trained and well-equipped police department here to serve the lake community.

Lake Royale Company Police Officers have the same powers and responsibilities as do local police and sheriff’s departments.  On POA property, the Lake Royale Company Police enforce North Carolina law, investigate crimes, respond to emergencies, patrol POA property and provide other police services.

The Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Uniformed police officers patrol Lake Royale in both marked and unmarked cars.

Oath of Honor

Every Police Officer takes and adheres to the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor. An oath is a solemn pledge that each of our sworn personnel makes demonstrating that he or she intends to do what they say they will do in the performance of their duties. The Oath of Honor is a critical part of who we are as well as the promise we make to the community we serve.

Honor means that one's word is given as a guarantee.

Betray is defined as breaking faith with the public trust.

Badge is the symbol of our office.

Integrity is being the same person in both private and public life.

Character means the qualities that distinguish an individual.

Public trust is a charge of duty imposed in faith toward those we serve.

Courage is having the strength to withstand unethical pressure, fear or danger.

Accountability means that we are answerable and responsible to our oath of office.

Community is the jurisdiction and citizens we serve.
